You don't have to know programming code to create your own site. This website was created using Weebly.com and it took me about 5 minutes to get up and running, for free!
Other easy to use website programs include Google Site, Why have a class website? You can organize your notes, post due dates for assignments, have links to sites that you want students to see, and more. Free Rubric Generators
Quiz Makers
Wouldn't it be nice to create assessment tools that make your life easier? You can create quizzes on the web that mark themselves! Take a look at ProProfs.com and their free QuizMaker. The program offers a variety of options from multiple choice, fill in the blank and essay and scores the answers (except for essay answers) automatically so that the student receives instant feedback. Teachers can print off a list of student marks at the end, too. Take a look at my Computer Safety Quiz for an example.
Another tool worth checking out is assessment software: http://www.varsitytutors.com/classroom-assessment which offers quizzes geared towards math and science students as well as the major college entrance tests. |
